Joy McGregor

I’m Joy McGregor, Acting  Head of School and senior lecturer in teacher librarianship in the School of Information Studies at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. I spent nine years teaching in the School of Library and Information Studies at Texas Woman's University before coming to Australia in 2002. As a former teacher and school librarian, I became interested in how students approach research assignments. Currently, my research interests include the analysis of how young people think as they use information and how to implement strategies that help students use information effectively. I’m an advocate of librarians as partners in teaching and learning. In my free time, I enjoy my dog and two cats, golf, beaches, reading, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, sudoku, and gardening.
